The HD 25-13-II has an impedance of 600 Ohm and is basically exactly the same as the original HD 25's but designed more specifically for the studio.
The closed-back HD 25-13's are purpose-designed, professional monitoring
headphones offering high attenuation of background noise. Capable of handling
very high sound pressure levels and of extremely robust construction, these
headphones perform exceptionally well in high-noise environments, e.g. ENG,
sound reinforcement, studio monitoring and audio equipment testing. The
capsule is rotatable for one-ear listening.
They have a very high impedance (600ohms) which means they offer a greater range of volume control compared with lower impedance headphones. High impedance headphones will also generally take
more punishment and for longer than lower impedance models hence they are perfect in studio/location recording situations. When making the decision to purchase a high impedance pair of headphones,
you must be sure that the device driving the headphones (eg- a mixing desk/recording device) has been designed to drive a 600 ohm pair of headphones.
The HD25-13-II's have been speicifically designed for maximum isolation and to handle high volume (sound pressure) in noisey environments. This also makes them the ultimate club DJ headphone.
