Praxino Rear Projection Screens - Fixed Screens

Praxino is a totally new product designed and manufactured here in Australia.

Praxino's fixed, manual pull down and motorised rear projection screens harness the innovative applications of rear projection displays as never before.

Praxino screens incorporate an advanced 3D layered polyester based optical film. Forming the underlying structure of this film are minute prisms, which uniformly disperse light horizontally and vertically as opposed to merely transmitting and randomly scattering the light. The result of this advanced 3D technology and uniform light disbursement, is a wide viewing angle and a high brightness image, making it ideal for placement in positions where viewers may not necessarily be square-on to the screen.

With the introduction of the Praxino 3D-Layered Rear Projection Screens, the application of projectors in passive display environments, such as retail stores is even more flexible and effective than ever before.

Features
  • High resolution and image depth
  • Standard sizes ranging from 45 to 100-inches
  • Available in 4:3 and 16:9 aspect ratios
  • Range of versatile mounting options
  • Rigid panel design to enhance quality and reduce curvature
  • Excellent viewing angles on both horizontal and vertical axis
  • Custom sizes and shapes available

Praxino Retractable Screens

The roll down screen uses the advanced 3D layered polyester based optical film enclosed between two layers of protective clear film. Images are colourful, crisp and clear with exceptional clarity and ultra wide viewing angles.

Praxino Screens allow total edge to edge image projection and have no black borders or masking on the sides of the screens. When not in use for projection, the screen can simply roll away, thus allowing a completely unimpeded view. Perfect for retail applications, front window displays or gaming systems.

Praxino Rigid Screens

Praxino also make a range of manual pull-downm rear-projection screens. Click on the following link to see the selection now available through Velvet Systems:

Praxino Rear Projection Screens - Fixed Screens

Rigid Screen Suitability Guide
Description of System and Function:
  • This is a projection system using a high quality polyester projection
  • film bonded to a transparent panel to give high quality video pictures
  • in a range of rear projection applications.
Points of note:
  • Brightest Images are achieved when projector is as close to the same level as the screen vertically however in the case of high intensity projectors this may lead to hot spots, in this case moving off axis will reduce the hot spot
  • Very high lighting levels behind the film degrade the image quality so spotlights etc should be avoided or be able to be switched off
  • The projected image gives best results if the centre of the film on the vertical axis is at or near eye level
  • Where possible the beam of the projector should be away from high traffic areas to prevent walk through problems
Mounting:
  • Screens and projectors must be secured well, choose a mounting
  • system that fixes the screen securely.
  • In most cases screens should be mounted vertically as this prevents
  • screens deforming under gravity.
Things to Avoid:
  • If overhead objects block the path of the beam ensure that the image position does not drop too low or it will be below eye level and susceptible to walk through.
  • Don't be tempted to put the screen too high as the screen will lose some of its intensity
  • Avoid bright lights inside and strong sunlight outside, both will degrade the image
  • Consider moving the projector closer to the screen if the beam is likely to be in the way of foot traffic, it may well be better to have a smaller screen than one with shadows in it
