Old school meets modern day in the V67i Tube. This classic tube mic lets you indulge in the sonic pleasures of a classic vacuum tube and take advantage of today's leading-edge audio technologies.
MXL is the only microphone company that uses an independently selectable capsule system that produces two sounds from one mic - warm or bright!
The V67i has a 1 inch capsule assembly that has two selectable diaphragms.
The front diaphragm produces a warm sound that's very smooth. Turn the mic
around and the backside will give you a brighter sound that (adding a high-end
boost) and a degree of brilliance without being too overly harsh. This back
capsule is perfect for recording acoustic guistars.
There are two LED's installed behind the grill (on the front an back) that illuminate when the mic is in use.
The LED's will light up at the front or back depending on which diaphragm you have selected to use.
