The MXL 604 is the latest in quality instrument microphones. Using transformer-less FET circuitry and a 20mm gold diaphragm capsule design, The 604 delivers the dynamic range required in the most demanding instrument miking applications. It features; -10dB switchable attenuation; selectable low-frequency roll-off; and an interchangeable omni-directional capsule making the the 604 perfect for acoustic guitar, ambient and overhead drum miking. The 604 exhibits low noise characteristics with a wide dynamic range.
The 604 comes complete with interchangeable omni and cardiod capsules (compared with the 603 which only comes with cardiod).
It is the perfect microphone for stereo recording - especially for acoustic instruments such as the acoustic guitar and toms.
The difference between the 2 capsules is quite pronounced, giving you basically 2 mics for the price of one. The Omni capsule tends to be quite flat
whereas the cardiod capusle produces quite a bright and full sound.
Includes Deluxe wooden storage case, mounting clip and foam windscreen. 20mm gold cardiod and omni-directional capsules.
