The new Avision AV210C2, AV220 and AV220C2 document scanners are designed to occupy minimum desk space, yet perform fast and reliable document scanning. The build quality is excellent.
AV220C2: 35ppm (max. 70ipm) true duplex scanning
All models (i.e. AV210,AV220 and the AV220C2) feature a Hi-Speed USB2.0 interface and 48 bit colour which is exceptional considering their high scanning speed and modest price.
The Avision AV220 and the AV220C2 also feature true duplex scanning, which means both sides of the page can be scanned at the same time in a single pass.
The automatic feeder will handle originals from 50gsm paper up to photographic paper. Thicker originals (index cards, ID cards) can be scanned using the manual front feeder
When in use, note that the in and out trays are actually well clear of the desk.
When not in use, both trays can be folded onto the scanner, further reducing the footprint.
A comprehensive range of scanning software, including several capture applications,
is also included in this quality package.

Kofax VRS software is available as an option for
the AV220 and is now included with the AV220C2. This is
useful when scanning particularly difficult document like consignment notes,
carbon copies of invoices, document with lots of colour highlighting, etc...
Kofax VRS will scan those documents in colour, then analyse and enhance
this colour image in order to output a more legible B&W image. Many documents
which were previously only legible when scanned in colour (with a much bigger
file size) can now be scanned in B&W.
