The AV8000S comes as a flatbed scanner with or without an automatic document feeder. With the document feeder attached, the AV8000S is capable of scanning up to 35 pages per minute and is able to hold up to 50 pages at once.
To make scanning even more effortless, the AV8000S comes packaged with a SCSI interface kit, TWAIN drivers and a comprehensive software collection for Windows. This package includes the acclaimed TextBridge Optical Character Recognition software, which saves you retyping by automatically converting printed text into a word-processor format which can then be edited. You can also edit, organise and share your scans with Papercom document management and MGI Photosuite digital imaging. Avision scanners ship with Twain drivers, but ISIS drivers are available on request at no extra charge. Macintosh 0S 9 TWAIN drivers are also available free of charge.
This makes the Avision AV8000S compatible with a very wide range of applications, including Windows Imaging (standard and Pro), ScanStation, TypeReader, Photoshop (though Photoshop only supports single page files), Kofax Software VRS (with and without AIPE), WorkingPapers and many more...
